The Spirit in the Sky

Were they AI generated beings?
Jumping off the computer screen
Identical in form, yet their natures unforeseen
One by one their identical actions
Making them seem part of a new fangled faction
Created by algorithms…Identities unknown
No individualism…oh…my heart be still
Solemn and without joy is what I observed
As if life was unseen, unpurposed, yet seemingly unperturbed
Wow…is that where we want to go?
Voyeurs of a computer’s low level emotional skills
There is a rise in displacing our human innateness
Are these scientists now selling out human greatness?
I am Not wanting to be demeaning
Regarding human life vs. AI reality streaming
People interact, talk, dance, or disagree
It Is part of our common humanity, you see
In this imaginative and manipulated uni or meta verse
Humans now hide behind avatars…and worse
where are tomorrow’s leaders?… the bold and the diverse?
I am sure there is good to come out of AI
I just don’t see it replacing the Spirit in the Sky!
